The Shroud at Turin

I am here, Jesus:

Yes, it is and I am glad that you have given me this opportunity to write, as I have been present for a short while and reading with you as you were reading Dr. Barbet's book on the crucifixion, and I would like to say at this time that the Shroud at Turin is a reality, the shroud which covered my mortal remains after the descent from the cross and the preparations made for my burial by Joseph as described in the Gospels.

The care for my body as described by John in Chapter 19, verses 38-42 is correct.

The nails that pierced my flesh were hammered into the wrists and not the palms as has been widely understood; that physical death came to me through asphyxiation, due to the unnatural position of my body dragging on my outstretched arms on the cross, and that the opening of my heart by the Roman lancer and the accompanying flow of blood from the right auricle and the liquid from the pericardium actually took place as described by John the Apostle in Chapter 19, verse 34.

I say again that, while my sincere and devoted Dr. Barbet has accomplished a task of primary importance in the reconstruction of the crucifixion such a reconstruction deals merely with the experiences undergone by my body, and does not deal with the living soul, so that how much more important is it to devote oneself to the reconstruction of man through the experience of the New Birth and to study those things which will, by deed, lead him to eternal life.

The great compelling fact of the crucifixion is that, while my body was dematerialized by me and died as to its existence, yet my soul has lived on through the intervening centuries and will continue to live throughout all eternity, and this eternal life became a reality through my constant and fervent prayer to the Heavenly Father for the inflowing of His Divine Love into my soul and At-onement with Him.

For while my body has these many centuries been returned to the elements from which they proceeded, and is no longer in existence as such, or can be brought back into existence through any such mysterious ceremony as the blood and wine now practiced among religious cults, nevertheless what is really alive is my immortal soul, with my teachings which show the way to achieve immortality of soul longing to the Father for it is the Divine Love that gives eternal life, and not that bread which is material, which as experienced by my body, suffers decay and is subject to the laws of the physical and hence transitory world.

The information regarding my true resurrection has already been given to mankind in the messages which, with my approval, were given through Mr. James E. Padgett and these explain my work in Joseph's cave, then ascended to the Spirit World to proclaim the availability of the Father's Love through prayer and the possibility of At-onement with Him thereby, and then returning to the cave, materialized a body closely resembling my own with elements drawn from the elements of the universe; the linen shroud which had covered my body I folded neatly and placed in a corner and I walked out of the cave, the stone blocking the entrance to it having been rolled away by the bright spirit sent by the Father for that purpose; and it was in this way that I saw Mary the Magdalene and the others, as mentioned in the gospels.

The angel mentioned in the gospel was a bright spirit sent for the purpose of removing the stone; the strength he displayed in this task was obtained through the transmission of energy conveyed to him by many spirits who were present at the time. His materialized spirit body, endowed with this additional power, was able to cope with the task of rolling away the stone. He used the guard whom he put into a trance by suggestion, as the means by which he obtained the necessary ectoplasm to bring about the materialization. No, he was not able to materialize by culling from the elements a material form, such as I was able to do in my resurrection, and no one other than myself, not even the exalted spirits of the Transfiguration, has done this.

It was necessary for me to do this to show that I was still alive even after death through crucifixion for at this time in their spiritual development this phenomenon was the proof in the eyes of my disciples that I was the Messiah; but the real understanding of my Messiahship came to them only at Pentecost, when the Divine Love was conveyed into their souls with such power and in such abundance that they knew I had come to bring the very essence of the Father to mankind if they would seek it through earnest prayer.

This became known later as receiving the Holy Spirit, erroneously, of course, because it is the Holy Spirit which conveys the Father's Love into the soul of he who seeks it; but even this became relegated to a secondary position before the great fact of the "Risen Christ" which was preached to the pagans to substitute for their own gods.

Spiritualism if properly understood and taught, must lead to prayer for the Divine Love and At-onement with the Father; and what more appropriate introduction to the Father's truths is there than that which reveals my resurrection -- the risen Christ -- as the working of a fundamental truth of Spiritualism

Jesus writes a prayer for the Father's Divine Love

December 2nd, 1916

I am here, Jesus.

I merely want to say a word for the benefit of you and your friend, and that is, that I have listened to your conversation to-night, and find that it is in accord with the truth; and the influence of the Spirit is with you both.

Continue in your line of thought and in prayer to the Father, and, also, in your making known to others, whenever the opportunity arises, the importance of seeking for and getting the Divine Love.

As your friend said, the only prayer that is necessary is the prayer for the inflowing of this Love; all other forms, or real aspirations, of prayer are secondary, and of themselves, will not tend to produce this love in the souls of men.

Let your prayer be as follows:
Our Father, who art in heaven, we recognize:
That Thou Art all holy and loving and merciful, and that we are thy children and not the subservient, sinful and depraved creatures that our false teachers would have us believe.
That we are the greatest of Thy creations and the most wonderful of all Thy handiworks, and the objects of Thy great Soul's love and tenderest care.
That Thy will is that we become at one with Thee and partake of Thy great love which Thou hast bestowed upon us through Thy mercy and desire that we become, in truth, Thy children through love and not through the sacrifice and death of any of Thy creatures.
We pray that Thou will open up our souls to the inflowing of Thy love, and that then may come Thy holy spirit to bring into our souls, this, Thy divine love in great abundance until our souls shall be transformed into the very essence of Thyself; and that there may come to us faith--such faith as will cause us to realize that we are truly Thy children and one with Thee in very substance and not in image only.
Let us have such faith as will cause us to know that Thou art our Father the bestower of every good and perfect gift, and that only we, ourselves, can prevent Thy love changing us from the mortal to the immortal.
Let us never cease to realize that Thy love is waiting for each and all of us, and that when we come to Thee in faith and earnest aspirations, Thy love will never be withholden from us.
Keep us in the shadow of Thy love every hour and moment of our lives, and help us to overcome all temptations of the flesh and the influence of the powers of the evil ones who so constantly surround us and endeavor to turn our thoughts away from Thee to the pleasures and allurements of this world.
We thank Thee for Thy love and for the privilege of receiving it, and we believe that Thou art our Father--the loving Father who smiles upon us in our weakness, and is always ready to help us and take us to Thy arms of love.
We pray thus with all the earnestness and sincere longings of our soul, and trusting in Thy love give Thee all the glory and honor and love that our finite souls can give.
                                               Amen

***

This is the only prayer that men need offer to the Father. It is the only one that appeals to the love of the Father, and with the answer, which will surely come, will come all the blessings that men may need, and which the Father sees are for the good of His creatures.

I am in very great rapport with you to-night, and see that the Father's love is with you, and that your souls are hungry for more.

So, my brothers, continue to pray and have faith, and in the end will come a bestowal of the love like unto that which came to the Apostles at Pentecost.

I will not write more now.

In leaving you, I will leave my love and blessings and the assurance that I pray to the Father for your happiness and love.

Good-night.

Your brother and friend,

Jesus

One Hundred Years ago today Nicodemus tells his story

July 30th, 1915
Received by James Padgett
Washington D.C.

A Master in Israel, and yet I did not understand this New Birth. How few understood it then, and how few now.

Oh, the long years that have gone by since Jesus told me that I must be born again to inherit eternal life, and how comparatively seldom this great truth is taught by the churches and the teachers of religious matters.

This truth is at the very foundation of mankind's redemption, and until a man receives this New Birth he cannot possibly enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Men may claim to have faith in God and believe on Jesus' name and conform to all the essentials and sacraments of the churches, and yet, unless they have this New Birth, their faith and works as Christians are vain.

This I know from my own experience as well as from the teachings of the Master, and I desire to emphasize, with all the powers that I have, that it is the only important requirement to immortality.

The New Birth means the flowing into the soul of a man the Divine Love of the Father, so that that man becomes, as it were, a part of the Father in His Divinity and Immortality.

When this truth comes to a man he commences to take on himself the Divine nature of the Father, and all that part of him that may be called the natural nature commences to leave him, and as the Divine Love continues to grow and fill his soul, the natural love and affections for things of the earth will disappear, and as a result he will become at-one with the Father and immortal.

Why don't those who profess to be teachers of Jesus' truths - which are the truths of the Father - and all followers of him, pay more attention to this vital truth?

When you shall have received the messages from the Master, I think you will find this Truth of the New Birth to be the one thing that Jesus will emphasize and reiterate most. It is the most important thing for men not only to hear about and acquiesce in their intellectual beliefs, but also to actually experience.

I wish that I had understood it when on earth as I do now. He meant as no man could see the wind or tell from whence it came or whither it was going, so no man who received this New Birth could see the operations of the Holy Spirit or know whence it came. But this latter expression must be modified, because we all know it comes from the Father; but just how we do not know. The Holy Spirit is as invisible as the wind, and yet it is just as real and existing.

But men need not trouble their intellects to know exactly what this Great Power is, for it is sufficient to know: that which causes the New Birth is the Divine Love of the Father coming into the souls of men.

I must stop as I have written enough for to night.

So let me subscribe myself a brother who has received the New Birth, and a lover and follower of the Master.

Nicodemus

Jesus explains what the Holy Spirit is.

May 10th, 1920
Received by: James Padgett.
Washington. D.C.

Let me write for a short time upon a subject that will be of interest to you and to those who may read my messages.

What I desire to write upon tonight is the condition of those who think they have received the inflowing or baptism of the Holy Spirit, when the fact is that they have received only that advancement in the purification of their natural love and a harmony with the laws of their creation that causes them to believe that what they experience must be the result of a bestowal of the Love which the Holy Spirit brings to mortals.

In this mistake so many humans indulge; and in the satisfaction or rather happiness which their experience, growing out of such an increase in the harmony, brings to them, they fully believe that the Holy Spirit has taken possession of their souls and caused the happiness. But in thus concluding, they are deceiving themselves, and will realize their mistake when they come to an awakening in the spirit life.

The Holy Spirit is that part of God's Spirit that manifests His presence and care in conveying to men's souls His Divine Love.

This Love is the highest and greatest and most holy of His possessions, and can be conveyed to men only by the Holy Spirit; and this appellation is used in contradistinction to the mere spirit, which demonstrates to men the operation of God's Soul in other directions and for other purposes.

His creative spirit, and His caring spirit and the spirit that makes effective His laws and designs in the governing of the universe, are not the Holy Spirit, though equally part of God's Soul, and equally necessary for the manifestations of His powers and the exercise of the energies of His Soul. These deal with the things of the universe that do not have interrelationship with the Soul of God and the souls of men, and whenever the Holy Spirit is spoken of it should mean only that part of God's Spirit which transforms the souls of men into the Substance of the Soul of God in its Quality of Love.

I heard the preacher discourse Sunday night on the work of the Holy Spirit as portrayed in the contents of the New Testament, and saw that his conclusions from these contents were wholly erroneous and apart from the truth. As he said, the effects of the workings of the Holy Spirit are shown in more ways than one, and not everyone upon whom it is bestowed is filled with the same powers of displaying its presence and possession.

Now in all these evidences of its existence in the experiences given, it must be understood that it is limited in its operations to those conditions and manifestations that have their source in the Divine Love of the Father, that was bestowed upon mankind at my coming in the flesh, and that those evidences of the existence that have no relationship to this Love are not evidences of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

As mentioned in the New Testament, when it was bestowed upon my disciples at Pentecost, it came as with the sound of a mighty rushing wind, which has before been explained to you, that shook the room in which the disciples were assembled, and filled them with its powers, which means only that this Divine Love came into their souls in such abundance that they were shaken in their souls to such an extent that they thought the building in which they were assembled was disturbed. But in this they were mistaken, for the effect of the presence of the Holy Spirit is not to affect the things of inanimate nature, but is confined to the souls of men.

And the preacher must know, that because men are possessed with powers to accomplish the mental or material things of their living, they are not necessarily possessed with the Holy Spirit. Much of the physical healing of mortals is caused by powers that are bestowed upon men, or some men that are not connected with or proceed from the Holy Spirit. That there is evidence of this, men will recollect that the Old Testament is full of instances where men were healed of their diseases, and other wonderful things performed, at the time that the Holy Spirit was excluded from man's possession. Yet these marvels, as then considered, were performed by men claiming to be endowed with the Spirit of God, which is working for the good and happiness of mankind, and which will continue to work until men shall become in harmony with themselves as first created.

I understand the object of the preacher in attempting to show and convince his hearers, that because they have not those powers that the Bible describes as having been possessed by my disciples after the bestowal of the Holy Spirit, that therefore, they must not believe and conclude that they, his hearers, have not this blessing. His intentions and efforts were commendable, and arose from the desire that his hearers should not become disheartened and disappointed in their efforts to obtain the inflowing of the Love that the Holy Spirit brings to men; but on the other hand, his teachings were dangerous and misleading to these hearers, for the natural consequence of such teaching is to lead men into the belief or persuasion that they possess this power and Comforter, when they do not, and thus prevent them from seeking for an obtaining this Comforter in the only way in which it can be obtained.

The Holy Spirit primarily, has nothing to do with great mental or physical achievements, and to say that because a man is a great inventor or philosopher or surgeon who does things without knowing where the inspiration or suggestion to do the things comes from, therefore he is possessed of the Holy Spirit, is all wrong and misleading.

All things, mediately or immediately, have their existence and operation and growth in the Spirit of God, and only in that Spirit, and which Spirit is evidenced in many and varied ways in men's experience; and hence, men say that they live and move and have their being in God, meaning only that they live and move and have their being in God's Spirit.

This Spirit is the source of life and light and health and numerous other blessings that men possess and enjoy - the sinner as well as the saint, the poor man as well as the rich, the ignorant as well as the enlightened and educated - and are each and all dependent on this Spirit for their being and comfort.

This is the Spirit that all men possess to a great or less degree, and the brilliant preacher or teacher or orator, possessing this Spirit to a greater degree than his less favored brother, depends upon the same Spirit. It is universal in its existence and workings, is omnipresent, and may be acquired by all men in this sense to the degree that their mental receptivity permits. And this further demonstrates the fact that God, through and by this Spirit, is with men always, in the lowest hells as well as in the highest heavens of the perfect man. It is working continuously, ceaselessly and always at the call of men, be that call mental or spiritual. It is the thing that controls the universe of which man's earth is an infinitesimal part. This is the Spirit of God.

But the Holy Spirit while a part of the Spirit of God, yet is as distinctive as is the soul of man distinctive from all other creations of God; it is that part of God's Spirit that has to do with the relationship of God's Soul and man's soul, exclusively.

The subject of Its operation is the Divine Love of the Father's Soul and the object of Its workings is the soul of man, and the great goal to be reached by Its operations is the transforming of the soul of man into the Substance of the Father's Love, with Immortality as a necessary accompaniment. This is the great miracle of the universe; and so high and sacred and merciful is the transformation, that we call that part of God's Spirit that so works, the Holy Spirit.

So let not teachers or preachers teach, or their hearers believe that every part of God's Spirit that operates upon the heart's and thoughts and feelings of man is the Holy Spirit, for it is not true. Its mission is the salvation of men in the sense of bringing them into that harmony with God, that the very souls of men will become a part in substance and not in image merely of the Soul of God and without this working of the Holy Spirit men cannot become in such union.

I have written you before as to how this Holy Spirit works and the way in which it can bring men the Divine Love of the Father, and what is necessary for it's inflowing. The way described is the only way, and men must not believe and rest in the security of such belief, that every working of the Spirit of God, is the working of the Holy Spirit.

Except a man be born again he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God, and such attainment is possible only by the working of the Holy Spirit.

Oh, preacher, upon whom a great responsibility rests, learn the truth and then lead men into the way of salvation. I will not write more now, but will come again and deliver another message. Believe that I love you and am,

Your friend and brother,
Jesus

Ann Rollins describes who God is

January 31st, 1915.
Received by James Padgett.
Washington D.C.

I am here, Ann Rollins:

You must not think that because the Master said that God is a personification of love, power, and wisdom, that there is no real God, but merely an abstract being representing these attributes.

He is a real being, and these attributes are His, and not the combination of the attributes.
He exists, and without Him, there would be no love, wisdom, or power. He is the creator of these principles, and not their creature.

As Jesus said: He is without form or substance, such as mortals and spirits have; yet He has a spiritual substance, and that is real, and not shadowy or non existent. Pantheism is different from what God is.

While His attributes are everywhere, yet He is of an identical substance of spirit. So do not let the idea possess you, that he is not a being, for he is, and even though we cannot see Him, or feel Him as a spirit, yet He exists as His one true self. So believe in a personal God in that sense.

I know that it is hard to comprehend the true conception of His being, but the higher we get in the scale of love, the more apparent becomes His real existence as a being. Do not let your inability to grasp the true meaning of this description of God and His nature, lead you to think that He is a mere essence. He is real, and to us who have received a large amount of His love and essence, He becomes as real as if we could see and feel Him with our spiritual eyes and hands.

I know the difficulties in the way of your finite mind to grasp the true conception of His being, but as love draws you closer to Him, the mind gives way to the perceptions of the soul, and God appears as a real existing being, the creator of all.

I want to tell you further, that God,  while He works through His angels, yet He, Himself, comes into our souls by His direct communication. The Holy Spirit is His messenger that causes the souls of men to hear and receive this soul communication; yet God's Love comes direct from Himself, and when man was created in the likeness of God, he was given a soul that was capable of receiving the soul essence of the Father.

Neither in his physical nor spiritual form was man created in the image of his Father, because the Father has no such forms. But in the soul essence, the image was made alike.

Yet man is of such a great degree in God's creation that he can refuse to receive this soul essence, if he so wills. His soul is capable of receiving it, but is not compelled to do so, and while man has the image, yet if he neglects to receive the substance, he will never become at-one with the Father. That image will never be more than an image only.

God is so good, that He implanted in man's soul what may be called the natural love; and that love is sufficient to make him comparatively happy, and in the great day when sin and error shall be destroyed, man's natural love will be able to cause this happiness.

But man will not be at-one with the Father in the larger sense, and will not take on the divine nature of His God. So you see the necessity of seeking this wonderful union with the Father.

I must now stop.

Matthew Wrote the Passage on Divorce

I am here, Jesus:

I shall write my message to you on one of the most puzzling passages in the gospel of Matthew that confronts every student of the New Testament, and that is the subject of divorce as Matthew is supposed to have written it.

All I can say is that Matthew did write the passage on divorce, but with certain differences that render the meaning and interpretation entirely different.

In the first place, divorce itself, while not evil, merely gives recognition to a state that arises from an evil condition between two souls that are suffering from evil spirits or from the evil desires that beset these souls, and which cause such inharmony between them that they cannot endure each other's company and they desire to part.

Now such an act of divorce, as I have said, simply recognizes such inharmony of soul as a reality, and it is not the solution to the problem of marriage which is beset by the difficulties caused by the actions of the evil souls.

The solution is not divorce, but removal of the evil that afflicts the souls, and such evil can only be removed by a great effort on the part of the individuals in question, the exercise of their natural love, or better still, by the Divine Love entering into the souls of the marriage partners and thus causing the elimination of those evils afflicting their souls.

And with the elimination of these evils the souls regain their pristine purity and harmony is regained in the marriage state.

It is for this reason that I did not approve of divorce, whereas Moses had to tolerate it because the Divine Love was unknown at the time of Moses and he therefore had to condone a situation which arose from the hardness of men's hearts and here in referring to Moses' law I referred to man's use of the bill of divorcement rather than that of the woman, who at this time was subjected to man's domination in things of conjugal status, and he was the aggressor much more often than the woman.

When I appeared in Palestine to commence my ministry, it was possible for mankind to receive the Divine Love through the Holy Spirit and men with faith in my doctrine that the Kingdom of God was at hand, could, by applying my teachings, receive the Divine Love and obtain that transformation of their souls that would obviate the necessity of divorce through the transformation of their soul condition from one of evil to that of pure angels, with nothing but natural and divine love for the marriage the marriage partner.

At the least, the Divine Love operating in the souls of mortals could render these souls so free from evil as to make marriage harmonious.

When I spoke then of divorce in a way that showed that separation from a woman and marriage to another merely caused the man to commit adultery, and the man who married the woman thus put away, to also commit adultery, I meant to picture a condition of sin in an otherwise perfect condition of soul.

In the state of the Jewish nation at the time, the action of divorce was a necessary evil and I had no intention of decreeing that divorce as had been granted by the law of Moses should be eliminated, for conditions affecting husband and wife were even worse in my day than in the time of Moses and the consequent use of my word as a law to be observed by Christians in later times was not my intention at all, since I was simply stating an ideal.

Furthermore, I never said that a woman should be divorced on the grounds of adultery, as the New Testament puts it, for this phrase "Except for adultery" was inserted later by a writer who, in accordance with later views, took a very harsh attitude towards marital sinners.

This attitude does not represent my true ideas on the subject, for my real attitude towards the adulterous wife is very clearly demonstrated by the passage in John which portrays my words to the Jews who brought an erring wife before me; and these words were that she should be forgiven because no accuser, and that included the offended husband, was without sin.

All sinners, if repenting of their sins in good faith, could come before the Heavenly Father in trust in His Love and Mercy and this includes not only the thief and the murderer but the adulteress as well.

So you see how well meaning but misguided writers who had no conception of my real teachings put an entirely different interpretation upon my sayings and actually put words into my mouth that I never said; and this defiling of my teachings has brought untold woe to mankind for many hundreds of years and has caused the writer terrible years of torture in the hells for his well-meaning insertions.

I would like to state that divorce is admissible where it terminates a state of fornication in the eyes of God even though a marriage is observed by man and that is when both partners married for other considerations except love, which is the only true justification for marriage; and where there are children, the divorce between such couples simply causes more hell on earth for parents and children and is one of the greatest causes of unhappiness on earth.

Hence, couples should under all conditions seek to work out a solution for themselves and their children if this is at all possible through the exercise of their natural love and the purification of their souls, but as I have said before, through acknowledging that God is our heavenly Father and that He seeks to help mortals, if mortals will only turn to Him and seek His help with all the earnestness of their souls, into which the Divine Love can then be conveyed with its consequent elimination of evil from these souls and their transformation in the Divine Essence.

Into this most important phase of man's existence as in all the others, the Divine Love will bring peace and happiness and harmony and will result in the avoidance of the terrible hells reserved for man whose soul is damaged by his evil desires and inclinations.

I will continue with the New Testament and its truths and falsities, and I want to talk to you about the Divine Love in one of the passages concerning the rich young man who appeared to me and asked me how he could obtain salvation for his soul and the way the New Testament describes this meeting between us leads the reader to assume that my great message to mankind was nothing more than the ten commandments, for several of the most important ones concerning man's love of God are omitted completely and only those dealings with man's relationship to other men are given.

When the young man declared to me that he had obeyed all of these commandments and that he wished to know what else he had to obey or what else he had to do to merit salvation, I told him to give away all his property, become poor and to follow me.

Well, this makes a very nice story in the New Testament and is one that is usually read with interest and accepted by all who understand that the ten commandments given to the children of Israel by Moses were in reality the laws of God pertaining to the moral code.

But, they do not realize that if that were all that I had come to Palestine to teach, then there was no need of Jesus, for Moses had already given these commandments and I could do nothing more than to confirm what Moses had already proclaimed.

As a matter of fact, I did teach the laws of Moses because they lead to the pure but not divine angelic state which can be reached through obedience to the moral code, but my mission, as you know, was to teach not the law, but Grace.

That is to say, freedom from sin, not by obedience to law, but through the transformation of the soul through the Divine Love's being conveyed into that soul through the Holy Spirit.

That is precisely what I taught the rich young boy who appeared to me in order to learn the way to salvation, for the love of man to man and love to the Father do not lead to salvation in the sense that they give man immortality and At-onement with the Father.

I therefore taught the young man the New Gospel of Grace and the Divine Love, which was superior to loving God and reverencing God in the prescribed way, as found in the first three commandments of Moses, and later writers of the gospel, in their copying and recopying, could not understand my allusions to and teaching of the Divine Love superior to the laws of love to God, which was, as one might say, a very part of their being, and they gradually eliminated all references to this teaching as well as to those Mosaic commandments requiring love of man to God, for one could not be stricken out without the other, and allowing the Gospels to deal merely with the relationship of man to man and avoidance of sin through material possessions and desire for them.

And thus, it was that once again my teachings were nullified by these copyists in the most important aspect of my mission -- the announcement of the glad tidings of the rebestowal of the gift of Divine Love and the resultant decrease in the ability of man to understand my true mission.

One of the things which should be kept in mind, however, in the reading of the passage in Mark and Luke is that there is absolutely no reference to the vicarious atonement through my blood on the cross as the means of salvation when the direct question was put by the rich young man, and I point to this omission as a proof positive that the entire conception of the vicarious atonement was a much later conception and never formed part of the original writings of my disciples, but was an afterthought that took form and shape when the teachings of the New Birth had been eliminated and a new conception of salvation was introduced in a way to conciliate the old Jews, and they made me the sacrifice that would cleanse the sins of mankind through the shedding of my blood.

You know that I have dealt at length with this subject before and so have my disciples in their message through Mr. Padgett but I have deemed it appropriate to refer to it again in connection with a definite incident related in the New Testament and to emphasize its falsity.
